Break Free

In love one tends to want to feel loved so much that we forget to love ourselves. Love is the most special place to be when it is in it purest form, it is euphoric.

We burden ourselves with the thought of the things or people we love. We self sabotage our existence. Love is enduring, long after it is gone, there is an imprint that imprisons us. Scars bestowed upon us when love comes to an end. Warriors become hardened from the hurt, and as each relationship unfolds, hearts are broken; we are never the same again.

We fall victim to the thought of loneliness, but we are never alone. A higher Power is always present. Once we realize the true greater power of love; we are not in love we are Love. The chains that bind our hearts and minds become detached.

Be in love with every ounce of yourself, you were created with, for and by love. Love is food to the soul. Feed yourself well and others will want to eat at your table. Taking care of yourself first, then Creator. Once you have mastered this only then can you love others.

Don’t be tied to yesterday, for it is already passed. Neither look to the future because of its uncertainty. Love today and break free…

The Losing Battle

No matter how much of a warrior you are or how many battles you have won, there will be some that you lose. You don’t have to be a soldier to have to go to war. Sometimes that war is within.

It’s easy to fight for something you want, its not so easy to keep it. There are outside influences that can disrupt your whole being. These are losing battles. No matter how much you try to win, the loss or sacrifice is always greater.

Some people or things are not worth fighting for, you have to recognise this otherwise you will be constantly at war with them and with yourself.

When you truly live in a state of self love it is difficult to allow people to bring negativity into your being. Self love requires discipline. Discipline to not accept anyone or anything that doesn’t bring joy to your life. This can leave you with the feeling that this is a losing battle, because you may really want to be a good person to everyone, but sometimes its just not worth the effort.

In order to be great you have to do great things. Leave the rest that jeopardizes your greatness. When you are in your greatness people will gravitate towards you, simply because that is what they want for themselves. Its a beautiful place to be when you surround yourself with greatness and great people. This space is so inspiring and you should be grateful to have such comfort in you life.

I am not saying to cut everyone out of your life that doesn’t bring you peace, just know how to pick and choose your battles. Sometimes it is necessary for you to battle for people who are not strong yet, and need your strength to get them to the next level. Although, helping others may feel like a loosing battle, these are the wars worth fighting for. Stepping back and pushing someone from behind to move forward is not a losing battle, its a win! You are wining and they are winning…. We are both wining; everyone gains!

Life will always be challenging and will always bring you discomfort, but, know that in these spaces that you grow emotionally and spiritually. Every time you lose a battle you are becoming more stronger and wiser! You are wining the losing battle…

Has Anyone Ever Written Anything for You

Has anyone ever written anything for you? Has anyone ever put their heart on a piece of paper that you can easily tear apart? This is written for you in hopes you see the beauty in your darkest hours.

The words just don’t come out right with conversation. So I am writing this one for you.I wish nothing but good to you and your loved ones. They say if you love something set if free if it comes back you know it was yours in the first place. The difficult part of loving is that most people don’t understand the concept of Love; it is seen more as a feeling than what it actually is… Love is a state of being.

If I didn’t tell you that I loved you then I would be lying to myself and the Creator, for the Creator says we must all love and keep one another. The Bible was meant to teach us what happens to the world when we stop loving one another. When greed takes precedence over kindness and compassion. We are not made to fear each other and form alliances seeded from injustice or hate.

Has anyone ever written anything for you? In all this madness of this world someone thinks of you and silently prays; watches you from the outside, only because you won’t let them in. All your successes and failures guess what; some one was cheering for you regardless. They did this because they know what it feels like to think that the world is against you. Although you may think it is weak to have a friend to rely on, that person is there when ever you look to them.

There has been far to much that hasn’t been written for you. Yet, there has been so much that has been written in to attempt to make you understand that these words are meaningless, if you never really appreciate the simple things in life. There is a blessing in these lines. For you see, I did not write this for you on my own. The Creator has used me as a vessel to spread his divine love unto you; with acknowledgement of the miracle that has transpired, you will see that someone has written something for you. But that someone wasn’t me.

The Three R’s That Will Drastically Improve Your Writing Skills

Writing can be a challenge at times. It may seem nearly impossible to take your voice to that extra mile. By following a few simple techniques such as reading, relaxing, and reflecting it will drastically improve your writing skills.

In order to be a great writer you must also be a great reader. Dont limit yourself to what you read. “The more you read the more you know, the more you know the more places you’ll go” (Dr. Zuess). If it interests you, read it! If sparks a light inside of you, read it! If you don’t understand something, read about it. There is always something you can learn from just about anything you read. Reading increases your vocabulary and grammar skills.  Reading can be very fun; it can take you anywhere that you can imagine. I find reading to be very relaxing.

Taking a couple of deep breaths and relaxing  your mind before putting your fingers to the keyboard makes a world of difference. Many best-selling author’s incorporate a small meditation before writing. This can allow for you to be more clear and focused on the task at hand. By simply lighting a candle, listening to soft music or by saying some affirmations before starting makes the space around you peaceful. It is crucial to log off social media for fewer distractions. What ever you like to do to relax, do that. It makes a world of difference just taking that few moments to remove the distractions within and around you. The more conscious you are the more flowing your writing will be; it also limits you from wandering off topic.

Reflecting is a great habit to get into; writing in a journal is a great way to do this.  Incorporating personal experience is just as valuable as fact based evidence. Your readers will want to feel that what you are writing about you have experienced yourself. It makes your writing more authentic, and that you are writing from your heart. Reflecting back on what you’ve written in your journal saves the hassle of trying to remember events you want to write about. It is also wise to join a writing group. This is helpful because you can receive feedback and support from peers that share the same interest of writing. So when you reflect on your writing you can make changes that you otherwise may not have considered.

Although I am just a newbie writer, following these three simple R’s has drastically improved my writing skills. Reading, relaxing and reflecting has made my writing process a lot smoother. Also, with practice I have gained more confidence that my voice is one that is valued by others and not just myself.
